Build-to-Suit

AstroPower
North American headquarters of solar power giant AstroPower, a 160,000 square foot site combining manufacturing and office space. Building employs active solar panels manufactured by AstroPower, representing the largest privately-owned solar-powered manufacturing facility in the world.

MAC Direct
246,000 square foot warehouse space for MAC Direct, a national marketing fulfillment company at CenterPoint
Business Complex. The warehouse has a clear height of 30’, specially designed to meet the flexible distribution needs of MAC Direct’s clients.

Johnson Controls
Johnson Controls needed warehouse manufacturing space quickly, in order to satisfy the company’s contractual obligation with automakers. Within 90 days, McConnell Development delivered the space, complete with generator capability, upgraded loading dock features and significant air conditioning requirements.

Oakley
When Oakley needed to fulfill an automobile manufacturing contract, they turned to McConnell Development which was selected for its expertise in obtaining approvals in New Castle County (DE) and for its ability to deliver a highly-specialized manufacturing building for Oakley’s operations.


Land Development

MAC Direct
In transforming an old manufacturing site into a state-of-the-art distribution facility, McConnell recycled 85% of the wood, metal, steel and concrete materials from the former site.

Beldin Farm
During the creation of a 75-lot subdivision on 180 acres, McConnell created a nature preserve at this site by saving wetlands. By enhancing this open space, McConnell not only met but exceeded all new environmental codes required for development approval.


“Dark Green” Building Design

McConnell Development promotes “dark green” building design, with ownership of over 400 kilowatts of solar energy systems on several buildings in the state of Delaware. These systems produce over 500,000 kilowatt hours of electricity per year.
